Merry Christmas!

I hope you all are having a great week! I'm 4 months old and about to celebrate my very first Christmas! Since we'll be traveling for Christmas, we did our family of four Christmas a little early. This weekend we visited Santa and opened our gifts. I got a pretty neat car toy, and I already figured out how to beep the horn and turn the steering wheel. Most importantly, we spent a great couple of days together talking about baby Jesus and embracing the time with one another. After all that is what Christmas is all about.
This week, our family prays that you will keep the true meaning of CHRISTmas first and foremost in all that you do. Merry Christmas to you!

In other news...I had my well visit and I am 26 5/8" long, 15lb 13 1/2oz, and lookin' good.

Learning about Christmas...

This week my brother has been teaching me about Christmas and baby Jesus. Although I am not so sure about his placement of the donkey on the top of the stable, I think he is doing a good job of teaching me what Christmas is all about.

I am growing by the second. I have given Mom some good nights of sleep (inner-mixed with some not so good nights) and continue to eat well. I also have become quite the chatterbox. Those silly grown ups can't understand me, but trust me, I am saying a lot of important stuff!

I continue to smile, laugh, and play a lot. I can pull my dangle toys to make noises and spin around. It keeps me pretty busy when Mommy is making dinner.
I hope you are staying warm and enjoying this beautiful December!

Baby, it's cold outside!

This week I got to see my first snowfall. It was amazing! The sky dropped delicate white puffs to the ground. Ryker told me it was snow and that it was so much fun. I will take a raincheck for playing in it for now, but that didn't stop me from venturing out to see what this snow stuff was all about. Brrrrr, I'll tell you this much...it's freezing cold!

My first Thanksgiving...

This past week I celebrated my first Thanksgiving. I loved it!
I started the weekend at Grandma's house. I got to see my cousins and my Aunt Genessa and Uncle Tyler. I slept through the big dinner on Thursday, but that was fine with me. I woke up for the fun stuff: I watched Daddy put Grandma's train set together under the Christmas tree.

I visited Grammy and Papaw the rest of the weekend. We watched some football and I got to see my Great Aunt Owi and my Great Grandma Luttrell. I showed them all how I can roll over. Yes, it is official. I've been rolling over ever regularly since Mom helped me write the blog last week. She tells me I am such a big boy. Click here to see for yourself!

It was a great Thanksgiving. I spent a lot of time relaxing in the arms of loved ones. My Daddy's strong arms are two of my favorites. I want to be like him someday. I am very thankful for Daddy.
Mom dressed Ryker and I alike the other day. Despite her goofy tricks, I am thankful for Mommy. Ryker and I practiced tackling the other day, unbeknownst to me. He is a great big brother. I am so thankful for Ryker!

We decorated our Christmas tree last night. I am really looking forward to my first Christmas! I helped Mom put my ornament on the tree. I like looking at the lights and listening to the music.

Thank you for checking in on me! I hope your Thanksgiving was a good one and that your Christmas season is off to a terrific start! See you next week...

3 Months Old and Baby Dedication

Last week was the big 3 month mark for me. I am growing and changing so much! Mom got some more of my brother's 3-6 month stuff out of the attic, only to find that I am no longer in that size comfortably and have jumped up to mostly 6-9 month sizes. I'm a hoss! I have started grasping things like rattles and even figured out how to make my dangle toys make noises by pulling on them! I am digging my play mat and even rolled over twice on Monday the 15th! Yeah, I'm kind of a big deal around here and certainly way ahead of where Mom and Dad expected me to be. They are not sure about the rolling over thing, as I did it twice in an hour (to their shock and amazement) and then haven't repeated the performance since. I keep trying to tell them it wasn't a fluke and that I just enjoy my back better than tummy time, but who knows if they understand.

My parents dedicated me to the Lord at church last weekend in front of lots of family and friends. My Grandma, Grammy, Papa, Aunt Nessa and cousins, and the Kernodles all came for the event, and of course all my church family was there, too. It was so nice to see everyone. I am so blessed to be surrounded by so many people that love and care for me and will help guide me to follow Christ and see me develop my own relationship with Him.

My first Thanksgiving is in just a few days. We made turkey hats to celebrate this week. I just wanted to eat the turkey leg...an indication of what is to come next year around this time, I'm sure. I also helped Mommy make two pumpkin pies. I look forward to getting to do more than just make sure the batter doesn't go anywhere next time.

I am so thankful for my family and friends and for all of you that follow my adventures! Have a great week everyone!

A laughing matter...

This week I started laughing. It's just another example of my changing and growing each day. I am 25 inches tall and I weigh 13 pounds 8.5 ounces. I love standing up on Mommy and Daddy's laps, looking around, and holding my head up on my own.

I went on my first Christmas shopping trip with Mommy, this week. Aunt Genessa and Grandma came down and we drove to the outlet mall and Toys R Us. Wow, that place is great! Toys, toys, toys! I can't wait til I can actually grasp something in my hand so that I can play with all that stuff. I had a really good time with the girls and liked the one-on-one time with Mommy. I was such a good boy; I pretty much just slept and relaxed the whole time we were out. No fussing...I like to shop!

I got to spend some time with Brayden this week. He is so big; he is able to stand up. He is going to teach me so many things. Ryker is teaching me stuff, too. He and I ham it up for mom every day. She can't get enough of this stuff!

I mentioned our family pictures earlier in a post. We got them back this week. Please click on this link to check out some of our favorite shots.

My First Boo!

My first Halloween was spooktacular! I got lots of treats and no tricks. It started with a very cute card from Great Grandma. Then, I got a great big bucket of goodies from Great Aunt Teresa. Next, I hit trunk or treat dressed as the cutest little football you've ever seen. We stopped by to visit with Mimi and family, and wrapped up our night with the Kernodles. It was such a great weekend! Here are some other pics from the week, including my mastering some head control and playing on my play mat.

Party Time

This weekend we celebrated my brother's 2nd birthday. Two years seems like forever away for this two month old, but Mom tells me it will be here in a flash. I got to see my Grandma and Grammy and Papaw as well as some of our friends at his party, which was my favorite part. I am sure that if I were able to grasp things in my hands or eat solid foods that I'd have found the presents and sweet treats a lot more enjoyable. There's always next year! For now, I am content just keeping people's hands full, like Grandma, Mr. Vance, and Robert.

His party isn't the only thing that I've been up to. I had lunch with Aunt Mimi and Uncle Tim a couple of weeks ago. Olive Garden is a great place to do some snoozing. I also got some time with my Great Grandma. She was so surprised at how much I had grown in just a few weeks.

I also spent some time with my buddy Brayden. He came over one night to play, while his Mommy and Daddy had a date. He and I hung out on the floor, checking out the ceiling for a while. Then I got to see him again when we all went to the apple orchard. It was his first trip, so I showed him all the fun stuff to do. I'm a seasoned veteran, you know.

Each day brings more new things. On this particular one, Mommy styled my hair into a mohawk. Ryker and I have so much fun during the day hanging out. He is such a good big brother! Daddy and his boys love catching the football games each weekend.

Next week I'll celebrate my first Trunk or Treat! I'm going as a football, so check back soon to see some pictures of me. See you then!
